Altered states of perception got me hooked on patterns. Geometry, symmetry, structures within structures. Kaleidoscopic imagery.

My phone.
My fascination with patterns drew me into sacred geometry and cymatics: using vibration to make patterns visible in matter.
About ten years ago, I fixed a small plastic dish to a computer speaker, filled it with water and started playing frequencies through it. My phone was the camera.
I’d seen cymatics in videos. Now I was watching it happen in front of me. I couldn’t believe all that intricate geometry was coming from this simple setup.
I tried music, powders and other materials. I kept filming and photographing the results. FramePace grew from those experiments.

Something you
can wear.
Our cymatics prints begin as photographs. I develop them in Photoshop, turning them into artwork for fabric. A pattern that appeared for a moment becomes something you can wear.
Other designs follow the lines of Metatron’s Cube and the Flower of Life, the repeating structures of fractals, or the forms of plants and mushrooms.
Two ways of looking.
Barbara, my partner, creates her own designs for FramePace. Her eye often follows softer, more organic forms. We mostly work separately, bringing what catches our eye into the same collection.

The pattern
